Towa Takaya presents Contours of the Unseen, a solo exhibition at Kamakura Gallery (Kanagawa), on view from 15 November to 25 December 2025.

The exhibition brings together a wide range of works spanning the Mōzō Series, the Phase Series, and the Moss Series. From the shimmering light effects achieved through pearl pigments developed in collaborative research with Shiseido, to the figure-ground reversals produced with paint mixed from brass and local materials, to works created using soil and sand from Suzu in support of recovery from the Noto Peninsula earthquake — the exhibition presents a singular opportunity to encounter the "organic cycle" that runs through Takaya's artistic practice.

A cross-talk event will be held on 21 December, with artist and curator Seipa Kurosawa, clinical psychologist Naoko Nakamura, and Towa Takaya.
